Gibson vs. Fender: Are they really comparable
Over the years these two companies have been compared and contrasted. People ask "should I get a Fender or a Gibson?" Personally I hate it when people ask on my Youtube video "Should I get ... or ...?" When It comes down to it, it's personal preference. You will never convince a Gibson player otherwise or vice versa.
My question is: are they really comparable? Can you really compare these two companies that make two different kinds of guitars which are used to play two different styles of music?
You can play whatever style of music you want with your guitar but Fenders were made to play surf rock. Fender uses mostly single coils which give you that "bright twang" essential for that Chris Isaak style. And you can't get a Jimi Hendrix tone without vintage single coils and a fuzz face. Gibson guitars feature humbuckers that are suited for a completely different style of music. They are very well-built guitars, but why would a Slash fanatic buy a Strat? I'm not saying a Strat could not get a good Slash tone with some modifications; but if Slash is to Les Paul as Jimi Hendrix is to Strat why make it any more complicated. There is an example of two icons that play different styles of music as well as different guitars.
Please let me know your opinion on this.

Copy of Billie Joe's guitar
Email me:gobbo.thing@gmail.com
Some of you know that I sell custom replicas of Billie Joe's "Blue." I know that it is a very desired guitar to own, this page is info on the guitar and what I do. It is very hard to find info on this guitar on the internet, but i have done all the research for you and I have created a very in-depth, attention-to-detail copy. Do not waste your time trying to find stickers and trying to re-size them and stick them on a guitar, I have done that for you. I sell these copies on ebay, I also do a video on my youtube channel every time I sell one, so check it out. If you want to see pictures of the ones that I have made in the past, go here. I will also put some pictures on this blog.

Myths
Myth: There is more than one "Blue"
That is not the case, the original blue was given to him by someone (some say dad or mom). That guitar has always been with him, some say that he copied some of the stickers from the original and then put them on another guitar with different ones. Not true, Billie Joe over the years has actually taken off and put on stickers on blue. People see stickers on blue and then see new ones, the reason for that is, he took them off, or he put ones over them. However Billie has other blue strats that have the same look as blue with the "BJ" and other stickers, but there is still only one blue.
Myth: When Billie Joe was at a show, someone damaged his guitar by the straplock and that is why there is electric tape there.
Personally I don’t believe that is why there is tape there. I think that the tape thing came from another band called "Pansy Division", in this band the guitarist had tape near his strap locks too. I think Billie copied this idea.
